SCART Training

SCART (Sir Charles Parsons  Assessment and Recording Tool) is a formative assessment tool which assesses the progress of students with additional and complex needs who may previously have had progress charted via P-levels. By using the tool, it is possible to record small steps of progress within phases, the first of which draw upon the Engagement Model and then feed into pre-key stage standards. The tool can be used to measure progress for children in mainstream for whom usual assessment means are not yet appropriate.
